Case for Support Breakdown Campaign Goal: $29,000
Good Shepherd Parish Case
Looking to the future, it is essential that our church buildings serve as a place of welcoming for all people who come for Mass and a wide variety of other parish activities at Good Shepherd. Two thirds of all campaign funds raised will be designated for a parish general maintenance fund for the purpose of future renovations and repairs. One third of the Living Our Mission funds raised will support key diocesan priorities including the new Distance Learning Center at Jubilee House in Abingdon, where video conferencing technology will allow Catholics in Southwest VA to participate in conferences and events without having to drive great distances.
Parish Share Up To Goal: $19,000
General Maintenance Fund
Parish churches bring us together in the formation of a Catholic community to celebrate the Eucharist and build Christian fellowship with our friends and neighbors. Good Shepherd must meet future building maintenance needs in order to remain a safe and comfortable place of welcoming with such an important role in our faith life. One such need includes renovating the church bathrooms.
A Catholic presence in this Southwestern Virginia is important to maintain. The Living Our Mission Campaign is a blessing and fantastic way to achieve this. It will enable Good Shepherd to meet and keep the maintenance up-to-date, in order to maintain a Catholic presence and to share our faith life in words and deeds and at the same time growing strong and spiritually. A faithful giving is a fruit of spiritual maturity. I would encourage each family and individual to participate in some way. Thank you again for your prayerful iscernment about this necessary effort for our Parish and for our diocese. I hope and pray your generosity and investment can make that reality come about soon.Fr.
