Case for Support Breakdown Campaign Goal: $90,000
St. Catherine of Siena Parish Case
St. Catherine of Siena is a warm and welcoming parish community with a long tradition of forming Catholic disciples. We are about to take a major step in the history of our parish with the Living Our Mission campaign. All parishioners will be asked to consider making a 5-year pledge and with the best sacrifice and
prayers of all St. Catherine parishioners, Living Our Mission will provide the funding we need to finally begin the church renovation project. We will receive
2/3 of all funds raised up to the goal of $90,000 and 90% of all funds raised over that goal, plus a $45,000 matching grant from Catholic Extension if we
succeed in raising $45,000 in cash through Living Our Mission in the coming months by front-loading our pledges.
Parish Share Up To Goal: $60,000
Church Renovation – $60,000+
There has been no significant modification to the church sanctuary since its original construction 68 years ago. Seating capacity of the church is currently at a maximum of 108 people for worship service and we are often forced to place the overflow crowd attending Mass in the social hall out of sight of the altar. Additionally, the bathroom facilities are very old and not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. These factors have become an impediment to maintaining church membership and sustained growth.
The renovation project will address current deficiencies in a way that is aesthetically pleasing, meets compliance standards of the law, increases seating capacity, conforms to current building codes, and extends the useful life of the building for future generations.
The Living Our Mission campaign invites us to rally together around our common mission as God’s people. Your faith-filled generosity will be a grace to you, will assist us here at St. Catherine of Siena parish, and will advance our sacred work as the Body of Christ.Fr. Gerald Kaggwa
