Case for Support Breakdown Campaign Goal: $689,000
St. Gabriel parish is a growing parish, still in the process of realizing our full potential. The Living Our Mission campaign is a wonderful opportunity to build up the physical and spiritual structures of our parish, support our diocese, and to be a beacon of light for our civic community. This is a time when we can make progress towards fully realizing our identity and mission. Let us each respond to this call generously, reminding ourselves what St. Paul tells the Corinthians: “he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” When we give generously and sacrificially, we imitate God who did not spare his own Son for our salvation. ~ Rev. Eric Ayers
Our parish will receive one-third of all the proceeds we receive up to our campaign goal of $689,000 and a bonus level of two-thirds of the funds raised over our goal. Our share of the funds will help build up the St. Gabriel community.
Parish Share Up To Goal: $230,000
Element 1: Develop a New Pastoral Plan, $100,000
One of the critical goals of St. Gabriel is to realize a permanent Church facility for worship and for conducing the day-to-day business needed to grow our parish. This need is becoming more of an apparent reality as the demands for space continue to increase while the parish remains landlocked on the property it currently inhabits. To help us expand our ministry and begin planning for our future Church, the largest portion of the funds returned to our parish through the Living Our Mission campaign will allow St. Gabriel to work with a consultant on developing a new pastoral plan. This plan will lay out the goals for the parish over the next five to ten years which will ensure that we have a clear vision to meet the needs of our growing Catholic family.
Element 2: Eliminate Capital Debt, $75,000
Debt reduction is vital if our parish is to become more efficient operationally and continue to grow programs, services and ministries for our parishioners and the community that we serve. The $75,000 allotted through Living Our Mission to eliminating the capital debt on our buildings is a part of the larger parish plan to become debt free in three years.
Element 3: Build the St. Gabriel Emergency Maintenance Fund, $55,000
St. Gabriel’s current buildings are beginning to age and the need for increased maintenance in the near future is something we need to begin planning for today. With support from the Living Our Mission campaign, St. Gabriel will be able to build its emergency maintenance fund so we can be prepared for future capital improvements.
