Case for Support Breakdown Campaign Goal: $72,000

Our parish will receive two-thirds of all the proceeds we receive up to our campaign goal of $72,000 and a bonus level of ninety percent of the funds raised over our goal. Here is how we intend to use our share:

Continuing Education and Faith Formation – $12,000

Lifelong discipleship requires a thorough understanding of Catholic teaching and faith practices. This is a time when Catholics face obstacles and societal pressures against fully living their faith. In order to address these concerns, the Diocese of Richmond and St. Victoria’s have joined in a partnership to raise $12,000 for a fund to support continuing education and faith formation efforts that are so essential to the future of our parish, including funding for educational materials and faith formation courses in Richmond. We hope this effort will aid parishioners to feed their hunger for growing into the life of Christ.

Support for Local Charities – $11,000

Serving people in need is at the core of our mission and identity, as we follow Pope Francis in the spirit of the Joy of the Gospel. $11,000 of our parish share from the Living Our Mission campaign will be dedicated to local charitable causes including Habitat for Humanity, Frannie’s House, and Dawn.

Parish Maintenance and Future Project Seed Money – $25,000

Looking to the future, it is essential that our church buildings serve as a place of welcoming for all people who come for Mass and a wide variety of other parish activities. $25,000 of our Living Our Mission parish share will serve to establish a general maintenance fund for essential projects. Some anticipated needs include installing new classroom doors, repairing the Sanctuary roof, and replacing entry door locks and other hardware.

God’s heart has a special place for the poor, so much that he himself became poor. (2Cor.8:9) The entire history of redemption is marked by the presence of the poor.
